INTRODUCTION

Midland Chromium Plating Ltd (MCP) employs 54 people and operates from their Perry Barr premises located in Aldridge Road. The company processes and surface treats steel components with chrome or zinc plating for a wide range of customers in the following sectors;

As a responsible member of the community the company recognises that Environmental Management must equal the highest of its company priorities and will ensure environmental requirements form an integral part of its business strategy.

Therefore, Midland Chromium Plating Ltd are committed to developing policies, programmes and practices for conducting its operations in an environmentally sound manner and are committed to conducting its business activities in line with sector best practice and recognised environmental management tools.

By a programme of continual improvement, the company will prevent pollution by:

Midland Chromium Plating will comply with all relevant National and European Environmental Legislation and Regulations. Where no legal requirement exists the company will operate in a manner which will ensure the minimum environmental impact from it's processes.

Midland Chromium Plating will set Environmental Objectives and Targets by which the company's environmental performance can be measured. These objectives and targets will be contained within the company's environmental management system, communicated to all staff and will be reviewed by the senior management team on an annual basis.

The Objectives and Targets will be directed at Aspects that are deemed to have or have the potential for significant Environmental and Company Impacts.

This policy will be reviewed by the Plant Management 12 months and any changes communicated to all staff within the company.

This policy will be made available to any member of the public requesting it.
